Dispute resolution

When a dispute arises, there is often a great deal at stake – business deals, projects, investments and sometimes entire operations. In such situations, a legal assessment is not enough. Risk analysis, strategic judgement, securing evidence and the ability to pursue the dispute in court are equally important.

Walthon represents clients in commercial disputes, construction disputes and procurement-related proceedings. Our assignments often involve complex and business-critical issues where the outcome has a significant impact on the client’s finances, liability and future scope for action.

Several of Walthon’s lawyers have extensive and well-documented experience in dispute resolution in all its forms, with extensive litigation experience from both general courts and administrative courts as well as from national and international arbitration proceedings (ad hoc, SCC and ICC). Our lawyers are also engaged as arbitrators and have represented clients in several precedent-setting cases in the Supreme Court and the Supreme Administrative Court.

Our litigation is conducted with a clear goal: to achieve the best possible outcome for the client. Dispute resolution is a strategic tool – not an end in itself. We always work with a settlement perspective in mind, but without hesitation to take the case all the way when other options are not available.
