Construction Law

Walthon represents contractors, clients, subcontractors and technical consultants in all stages of the construction and civil engineering process.

Construction law is largely based on industry-specific standard agreements, such as AB, ABT, ABK and ABM. Partners at Walthon have participated in the consultation process for the development of AB 04 and ABT 06, AB-U, ABT-U and ABS, as well as in the development of industry-specific agreements for, for example, the wood industry, the painting, glass and facade, insulation and refrigeration industries. We also have extensive experience of agreements in the technology and industrial sectors – NL, NLM, ABA and FIDIC – as well as the complex legal issues that arise in the construction and delivery of industrial facilities.

Walthon also provides member advice to industry organisations in the construction sector and conducts extensive external training activities. Our lawyers are regularly engaged as lecturers and hold highly regarded training courses, seminars and lectures for various players in the industry.
